Air Flow to Japanese Cities

Click on a site to view back trajectories for the site or move the map to view other sites.

The purpose of this site is to illustrate whether the air arriving in select locations has previously been near the crippled Fukushima Daiichi nuclear power plant.

NOTE: Even if the air has passed near the power plant en route to a city this does not necessarily mean contaminant levels are elevated. Contaminant levels will be affected by emission rate when the air was near the plant and rates of mixing and deposition en route.
